Privacy policy

What we collect, why, who we share it with, and your rights. Written to be read.

Who we are

Fusadems provides school management software to schools in Ghana. In this policy, “we” means Fusadems and “the school” means the school that uses Fusadems.

Two kinds of information

School records. Schools put information about their learners, parents and staff into Fusadems: names, classes, contacts, attendance, results, fees, health notes, payroll details and similar. The school decides what to collect and is responsible for it. We process it only to provide Fusadems to that school.

Our own information. We collect details about the people who sign up and pay for Fusadems, and messages sent to us through this website (name, school, email, phone and your message), to reply and to run our business.

How we use information

  • To run Fusadems for the school: show records to the right people, send texts the school asks us to send, and process payments.
  • To keep the service secure, fix problems and improve it.
  • To bill schools and reply to enquiries.

We don’t sell personal information and we don’t use school records for advertising.

Who we share it with

Only the services we need to run Fusadems, each for its own job: our database and hosting providers; Paystack, for online payments; and Nalo Solutions, for text messages. We may also share information when the law requires it.

Parents and learners

Parents and learners see only the records the school makes available to them, for their own children or themselves. To correct or remove information, contact the school first; we will help the school respond.

How long we keep it

School records are kept while the school uses Fusadems. When a school leaves, it can download its records, and we delete them within a reasonable time unless the law requires us to keep them.

Keeping it safe

Each school’s records are kept separate, access is limited by role, and information is encrypted in transit and at rest. See our security page.

Your rights

Under Ghana’s Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843) you can ask to see the personal information held about you, have it corrected, or object to how it is used. For school records, ask the school; for anything else, write to us.
